    Juli Barnes-Wyss, School Counselor, SBUSD

  • She modeled and taught me many new strategies that I could use with all of my students, but especially my English language learners. She helped me scaffold sentence frames so all of my students could participate in grade level content, especially with learning new vocabulary words.

She designed and delivered high-quality professional development sessions that were consistently well-received and contributed significantly to building teacher capacity.

  • As a principal in the South Bay Union School District, I worked closely with Angela in her role as a Literacy Coach.
